LMS Invited Lectures 2011

Add to your list(s) Send you e-mail reminders

Each year London Mathematical Society invites a leading mathematician to present a sequence of lectures on a subject of great topicality. This year’s LMS Invited Lectures will be held at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge and will be presented by Emmanuel Candés (University of Stanford) on the subject of Compressed Sensing. The lectures should be of an interest to pure and applied mathematicians, also to signal processing and information engineers, astronomers and anybody else with an interest in understanding and analysing large amounts of data using advanced mathematical ideas.

Four younger colleagues will contribute one lecture each on different aspects of compressed sensing in computation, statistics and image processing.
