Gestational diabetes is the most common medical complication of pregnancy and is increasing in incidence worldwide. In this seminar we will cover the following topics:

- aetiology and risk factors for gestational diabetes
- diagnosis and clinical management
- dietary aspects to gestational diabetes
- interventions focussing on diet and physical activity.
