Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy and related families are unique scanning probe microscopies based upon pipette-based probes for detecting electrochemical activities. In this talk, I will introduce our recent progress in electrochemical microscopic studies in the field of energy materials including lithium-ion battery electrodes and electrocatalysts. The microscopic analysis can reveal the local activities on the materials.
