We consider scattering of gravitons in $d+2$ dimensional asymptotically flat spacetimes. The $S$-matrix elements are recast correlation functions in a putative $d$ dimensional theory with conformal invariance. The subleading soft graviton theorem is shown to imply the existence of a $d$ dimensional boundary stress tensor (which satisfies the Ward identities of a CFT ). Similarly, the leading soft-photon theorem is shown to imply the existence of a conserved current.
