The presentation focuses on the novel Farmer Producer Organizational (FPO) model in India, together with a digital platform supported by national state policy interventions. The aim is to make the audience aware about the current-state of the Indian agricultural landscape and inform about the potential of enabling the multiple agri-producers and small/medium sized enterprises to collaborate at scale across end-to-end agri-food supply chain operations, i.e. food production, processing, retailing, distribution. The ultimate goal is to foster socially and environmentally responsible value chains by understanding the long-term impact of alternative management policies on FPOs’ viability, particularly under the effect of the current Farm Bills in the country.
