Prof Grey pioneered the application of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to study and improve the performance of batteries, particularly Li-ion batteries, where she has made major contributions to the development of Li-air batteries. Furthermore, she is co-founder and CEO of Nyobolt, a company that specializes in niobium-based batteries.
