The practice of school self-evaluation varies among schools and countries, and no matter what our stage of development we can always learn more through considering similarities and differ-ences with others. Croatia has just started implementing self-evaluation in schools. Using Croatia as a case study this seminar will explore dilemmas and possibilities of sustainable self-evaluation and try to develop principles for best practice.

Keynote speakers: John MacBeath, Sue Swaffield, John Gray (Faculty of Education), Adrie Visscher (University of Twente, the Netherlands) and Jasmina Muraja representing the Croatian Centre for External Evaluation of Education

Small group discussions will deal with particular problems of sustaining self-evaluation and will seek solutions to improving the practice of school self-evaluation.

This talk is part of the ELPEC Group Seminars series.
