Jon Sanders Jon is an alumnus of Trinity Hall and has worked as a technician and director. In 1998 he directed the feminist Western Painted Angels starring Brenda Fricker and Kelly McGillis. He is the principle author of The Belgrade Manifesto, discussed at the Belgrade Festival of Auteur Film in December 2007 and signed by many directors, writers and critics, which “is a response to the current crisis in arthouse cinema: shrinking finance, over-controlling bureaucracies and, above all, the stagnation of cinematic language.
