Faith, desire, crime and punishment occur within a few lines to lead our ancestors towards death – thus setting the stage for the lives we lead. What can this other-worldly drama teach us about our own condition? We will look to Paul for an answer, whose reading of Genesis is certainly the most influential and controversial of all times.
