This presentation will investigate a practical software defined radio as used in consumer products today and give the audience an appreciation of its architecture and programming model, the design trade-offs made that led to that architecture, and why such an approach is expected to become the norm over the next decade.

“Simon Hambly, Business Development Director for Communications. After graduating with a BEng & a subsequent MEng in Electronic, Communication, and Computer Systems Engineering, Simon has spent his career in the Digital Broadcasting arena, initially designing products for an OEM , then supporting chipsets for semiconductor companies before joining Imagination to promote their Intellectual Property (IP) solutions.”
