This talk will give an overview of the activities, emerging issues and findings from the programme. These include:

  1. the statistical combination of scenarios, of model ensembles and of parametrisation values, including constraints from observations, all with their related uncertainties
  2. the approach to inferences from paleo-data
  3. some developments in identifying approaches to “tipping points”
  4. contributions that reduced models may make to our understanding.
