If you have a question about this talk, please contact Chris Bowman.

I will define a Coxeter group and give lots of examples. I will then attempt to explain enough properties of it to see why it is a cool object (specifically, the characterisation of Coxeter groups by the exchange condition). Time permitting, I will also say a few things about the Bruhat order on the group. The talk will require no background preparation whatsoever.

This talk is part of the Junior Algebra and Number Theory seminar series.
