Research activities on Eco-Design of Buildings and Infrastructure at ParisTech

After a short presentation of Paris Institute of Technology, research activities and results will be presented on modelling, including life cycle assessment and thermal simulation. This presentation will inform about objectives, principles and models, main hypotheses and limits, tool validation and inter-comparison, and example applications. Studies on technical innovation will also be presented, regarding building integrated photovoltaics, solar walls and ground heat exchangers, as well as demonstration projects (e.g. passive houses, renovation of social apartment building). Conclusions and perspectives will finally be proposed.
