In the first part of the talk we will review Hormander‘s method of constructing holomorphic sections of complex line bundles. This material will be well-known to experts. In the second part we will outline applications of the idea to limits of Kahler-Einstein manifolds, and a conjecture of Tian. This is recent joint work with Song Sun and is related to other work with Xiuxiong Chen, which we will also discuss briefly.

This talk is part of the Workshop on Kahler Geometry series.
