There will be a tutorial for radiology registrars at 2.00pm

This talk will cover assessment of post-operative complications, detection of recurrence and detection of metastatic disease with the main focus of the talk being on the latter. Imaging of post-operative complications is standard practise but some examples of less common imaging appearances will be demonstrated. The role of surveillance mammography will be briefly discussed along with imaging modalities used to detect symptomatic recurrence. Routine staging of patients with early breast cancer remains controversial with practise varying greatly. Available evidence will be discussed.
