I will report on joint work with S. Szawiel from the paper with the same title. The aim of this work is to provide (yet another) abstract setup for polynomial and analytic functors and monads in some contexts where they were already considered. It will be shown that polynomial and analytic functors typically arise as representations of Kleisli and Eilenberg-Moore monoidal objects for a (symmetrization) monad on an object of `signatures’. Passing to the monoids we obtain polynomial and analytic monads. This can be even further extended to actions.
