Research outreach to both academics and the general public is an essential skill for every PhD student. Promoting your research through presentations and talks opens a gateway to collaborations, public engagement, and can help in securing an academic position. But which talk to give? From TED -like public talks to conference presentations – the way we talk about our research varies dramatically in content and style depending on the setting.

This talk is part of the Cambridge PhD Clinic series.
