Nuclear new build projects are mega projects and the average mega project is delivered 35% over budget and two years behind schedule. As the UK embarks with its a new build programme, there is a real need for change to deliver these projects. GE chairman and CEO , Jeff Immelt recently said that “the real opportunity for change… surpassing the magnitude of the consumer internet is the Industrial Internet … an open, global network that connects people, data, and machines”. GE Hitachi is bringing this innovative digital approach to improve performance management of nuclear new build projects from design to decommissioning.

This talk is part of the Engineering Department Nuclear Energy Seminars series.
