Cambridge University Physics Society
Cambridge University Physics Society (CUPS) has arranged talks and social events for physics students since the 1940s. From researchers at the cutting edge to science journalists, Nobel Laureates to entertainers, we offer a range of talks to suit everyone, whether you’re a seasoned physicist or just a student who’s never stopped asking “why?”
Talks are generally held at 7.30pm on Wednesdays, and are followed by a wine reception where members mingle to discuss the talk and ask the speaker in-depth questions.
Talks are free to members and £2 for non-members. Membership costs £10 for life or £5 for a year, and can be arranged at any of our events.
Our usual venue for 2019/20 is the Wolfson Lecture Theatre at the Department of Chemistry on Lensfield Road, but always check for updates and directions.
Our website can be found at http://camphysoc.co.uk.
