Abstract
Open CourseWare (OCW) is an MIT -led initiative in education, aiming to provide high quality open-course materials for universities freely on the internet. In this dialogue session, Dr Bjoern Hassler from the Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies (CARET) would like to consult students from developing countries to explore ways in which OCW might make a difference to teaching and learning at their home universities.
While we are particularly keen to engage with students from developing countries, the meeting is open to everybody who feels strongly about higher education and development issues. The consultation will help to shape a potential University of Cambridge OCW project.
If you plan to attend this dialogue session, please let us know at events@cuid.org. This will help us gauge the turnout (though those who haven’t emailed in advance are welcome to attend as well!). If you have any further questions, or are interested in OCW but cannot attend the meeting, please also let us know at this address.
