- π Date & Time: Thursday 24 January 2008, 19:00 - 21:00
- π Venue: Latimer Room, Clare College
Abstract
Come join us in a discussion on “Who are we to develop “people” without their expressed consent?” and get to know more about the U8 at the same time!
U8 is a student-led global university network founded by CUID . It provides a non-partisan platform for students to learn, share ideas and make a positive impact on the least developed parts of the world. We believe that students, engendered with a methodology for enquiry and informed action, are well-placed to make a difference in the world.
Some activities we engage in: - Establishing links between students from across the world and engaging in discussion through online forums – Working together with other U8 members and academics to carry out projects - London Summit this March - Magazine publication every year
Join us on the 24th of January, or contact Ting thl31@cam.ac.uk and Nilima ns382@cam.ac.uk for more information.
