Understanding and manipulating monolayers of 1D and 2D conjugated polymers
- 👤 Speaker: Hugo Bronstein, Department of Chemistry, The University of Cambridge
- 📅 Date & Time: Thursday 17 May 2018, 16:00 - 17:00
- 📍 Venue: Mott Seminar Room, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
I will present a series of studies where the structure and morphology of conjugated polymers is analysed using STM . In particular I will discuss the effect of chemical defects in 1D conjugated polymers on the interchain interactions and I will also demonstrate the post-synthetic stabilisation of 2D monolayer polymers using chemical reduction.
