Abstract
In the RCC of this Thursday, Ricardo and Arik will discuss special topics on spectral methods. Ricardo will start with an introduction on spectral clustering based on Sections 2, 3 and 4 from
http://www.kyb.mpg.de/publications/attachments/Luxburg06_TR_%5B0%5D.pdf
We will also discuss a latent variable model based on spectral methods, as introduced in
http://www.stat.umn.edu/~aistat/proceedings/data/papers/008.pdf
Arik will discuss the Laplacian of directed graphs and will go through the paper
