Abstract
Benny Dembitzer, Managing Director of Grassroots Africa and member of the team awarded the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of IPPNW (International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear Weapons) will present his new book “The famine next door. Africa is burning. The north is watching”.
Benny will be accompanied by three Brazilian academics from UNISUL , who will talk about the Food-Water-Energy Nexus in Brazil, in the context of the BRIDGE project:
- Prof. José Baltazar Guerra: “The BRIDGE project in Brazil: Impact through Research, Innovation and Outreach”
- Mr. Issa Ibrahim Berchin: “Sustainable campuses as living labs for sustainable development: An overview of a Brazilian Community University”
- Mr. João Marcelo Pereira: “Identifying and overcoming obstacles to the implementation of Green Campus: a case study of a South American University”
