Abstract
Prof Yonath is the Martin S. and Helen Kimmel Professor of Structural Biology at the Weitzmann Institute of Sciences. She received the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry along with Prof Venkatraman Ramakrishnan and Prof Thomas A. Steitz for her studies on the structure and function of the ribosome.
