Abstract
Jade is a very important material to Chinese culture, but it is difficult to understand for western society, partly because jade objects are not commonly seen in European museums. This talk aims to introduce the jade collection at the Fitzwilliam Museum and will be accompanied by a small exhibition of Qing imperial jades in the Chinese gallery at the Fitzwilliam Museum from May to June.
