- 📍 Venue: CMS, MR13
Abstract
Abstract : Abstract Regular Polytopes can be seen as a natural generalisation of the celebrated Platonic Solids. We’ll spend the majority of this talk going deep into the definition of an ARP using lots of pictures to guide us. Then we’ll show how they correspond to certain types of groups. Finally, if time permits, we’ll give an overview of the landscape of the existence of ARPs with certain symmetry groups.
Series This talk is part of the Junior Algebra and Number Theory seminar series.
