Abstract
This talk is a case study of an RSE project. I will briefly describe our motivation for developing tools that predict cancer risk. I will then cover the RSE aspects of the project, optimising the risk prediction model, developing an appropriate web interface, CE marking the tool, and use of good software practices. I will try to show why these aspects are important for the real world use of the tool. The talk will not delve into the technical details, so should be accessible to all.
Series This talk is part of the RSE Seminars series.
