Abstract
In this short talk I will discuss what version control software is and why you should care about it. I’ll consider centralised and distributed revision control systems, specifically rcs, cvs, svn and git. I will describe how to use TCM βs cvs/svn server and its associated web interface, with particular reference to the choices we made recently when setting up an svn repository for the βLearn on the Flyβ project.
