Sensor technologies are very diverse and more often than not, are enabling technologies that have uses in numerous applications. This ‘platform’ nature provides many commercial opportunities for each sensing technology which is both an advantage and a disadvantage. In this talk, Richard will use his personal experiences to describe some of the challenges in commercialising sensor technologies.
