Abstract
This paper will explore the place of religion in race equality campaigns and anti-racism activism, and the relationship between British activist networks, the American civil rights movement and South African anti-apartheid movement. It will use as a case study the relationship between Dr Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and St Paul’s Cathedral, and explore the transnational networks that moved money, ideas and people to support international anti-colonial and civil rights movements.
