The Bs meson provides an excellent tool for studying many aspects of the Standard Model, through its production (QCD), propagation (neutral meson mixing), and decay (weak interactions). In this seminar, I will present recent measurements of Bs meson production and branching fractions with the LHCb detector. The new measurement of Bs meson production has a significantly smaller uncertainty than previous measurements and shows intriguing dependencies on b-hadron pT and pp collision centre-of-mass energy. The resulting improvement in the precision of Bs meson branching fractions is shown by recent measurements of rare Bs meson decays, which are mediated by the flavour changing neutral current transition 𝑏→𝑠ℓ+ℓ− and show interesting deviations from SM predictions
