Dr Chris Langley will report on a major research project undertaken by Scientists for Global Responsibility which examines the military influence on science, engineering and technology (SET) in UK universities. He will present an overview of the key findings of the project, the effects this influence might have on SET teaching, training and research, as well as the broader values of the university, and why this is of importance and deserves a fully informed debate. Plenty of time will be available for discussion and comments.
