Abstract
Kayisha Payne is joining us for a lunch time talk to share her experiences thus far from studying Chemical Engineering, working in industry and now working as a Management Consultant.
Bio: “Kayisha Payne began her Higher Education journey at Aston University where she read Chemical Engineering. She continued her education at Imperial College London, where she received a Masters’ in Advanced Chemical Engineering. During Kayisha’s time in industry, she has amassed experience in the Cosmetic Industry (COTY) as a Process Engineer, playing a key lead in bringing a very popular product to market. She also has Project Management experience working within the Pharmaceutical and Technology team at Mace and most recently was a Biopharmaceutical Process Development Scientist at AstraZeneca. Currently she is a Healthcare & Life Sciences Consultant and the founder of a non-profit organisation named BBSTEM . In 2018 she was recognised by the Financial Times as one of The Top 100 Most Influential BAME leaders in Diversity and Tech. In 2019 she was awarded the STEM Rising Star Award at The Black British Business Awards.”
