Apache Cassandra is the database of choice for applications which have high scalability and availability requirements. However, these benefits do not come for free, and care must be taken to harness the best of this technology.

In this talk, Apache Cassandra PMC member & committer Paulo Motta will walk through the architecture and common use cases of Cassandra, exploring scenarios where it shines (The Good), where it’s not the right tool for the job (The Bad), and what to avoid when writing Cassandra applications (The Ugly).
