Autonomous vehicles have attracted a lot of attention in recent years and the enabling technologies in this area are moving rapidly. Focusing on the recent autonomous vehicle trials held in West Cambridge, this event will discuss the current levels of technical capability including a high level overview of the way the autonomous control system operates and explore the future practical application of these technologies to local authorities in and around Cambridge.

The presentation will be given by Miles Garner of RDM Group and Gemma Schroder of Cambridge County Council.

Miles Garner is the Sales & Marketing Director of Aurrigo which is the autonomous vehicle division of RDM Group. RDM are leaders in automotive advanced engineering specialising in ‘first and last mile’self-driving transport solutions

Gemma Schroeder is a Programme Manager with Cambridge County Council working on the Smart Cambridge and Connecting Cambridge initiatives. She has a long track record of managing complex IT projects throughout their lifecycles and has partnered with Aurrigo in managing the autonomous bus trials in Cambridge.
