On the release of her second film, Une Histoire à Soi (A Story of One’s Own) (2021), Amandine Gay, acclaimed director of Ouvrir la voix (Speak Up) (2017), will discuss her new work with Sophie Marie Niang. After her afrofeminist testimonial documentary Ouvrir la voix, Une Histoire à Soi movingly explores transnational adoption. The event will be in English. Clips from the new film will be shown, with written translations provided.
