We explore the cosmological version of Euclidean black hole thermodynamics, namely the gravitational path integral over compact manifolds, in various dimensions. In general dimension we discuss the thermodynamic picture of the sphere path integral in terms of the quantum field theoretic Hilbert space in a Lorentzian de Sitter. In three-dimensions all-loop results are available for the pure gravity path integral, and an edge-mode picture is contemplated. In two-dimensions we discuss attempts for a microscopic picture in terms of random matrices for the all loop and all genus path integral.
