Experimental findings from the past decade from flavor physics have led to the picture that flavor violation in an extension of the Standard Model linked to electroweak symmetry breaking is likely to be close to the one present in the Standard Model, i.e, in the Yukawa couplings. We discuss implications for supersymmetric extensions and signatures for the coming round of experiments including the LHC . A specific model, hybrid gauge-gravity mediation (see 0812.0511) is analyzed with respect to its viability and predictions from quark flavor physics.
