Abstract
Passive RFID is a unique wireless technology based on modulated backscatter. In this talk, a physical layer of UHF RFID systems is discussed, with emphasis on antennas and propagation and their influence on system performance. Several antenna and system examples are presented, as well as current and future applications of RFID technology.
