Abstract
Conversation led by: âĸ Professor Crain Soudien, former CEO of the Human Sciences Research Council and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cape Town Speakers from Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge: âĸ Professor Jason Arday (TBC) âĸ Dr Grace Esa-osa Idahosa Moderator: âĸ Professor Yusuf Sayed This session critically engages in a conversation about higher education transformation to effect equity and social justice. This debate considers student and staff-led protest and movement for the call to decolonise education institutions and ensure that the academy is more representative, more just, and working towards cognitive justice. The panellists will bring to bear their experiences, knowledge and research about these issues in diverse contexts.
