David Coltart, MDC Senator, Human Rights Lawyer and Minister of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture in Zimbabwe, will be speaking in the Cambridge Law Faculty on Wednesday 4th November at 7pm in the main lecture theatre. Senator Coltart will discuss the past and present state of Human Rights in Zimbabwe and challenges for its future. Coltart has recently addressed the 2008 general meeting of the Bar Council of England and Wales and the Congressional Human Rights Caucus in Washington. The political changes occurring in Zimbabwe over the last year, and indeed the last few weeks, mean that this should be a very relevant and timely event.
