Abstract
Sergei Paradzhanov’s Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (Tini zabutykh predkiv, 1964), based on the novella by Mykhailo Kotsiubyns’kyi, is a classic of world cinema. Cambridge Ukrainian Studies, an initiative of the Department of Slavonic Studies, will be screening a stunning new transfer of the film in the Umney Theatre, Robinson College at 4pm on Monday, 8 February.
