OGGW01 - Discrete and profinite groups

This talk will be an account of some recent results in profinite rigidity centered around connections to complex geometry, including recent joint work with Hughes, Llosa Isenrich, Py, and Vidussi on profinite rigidity of products of surface groups amongst Kähler groups.
