VSO , the voluntary service organisation, is organising a sponsored walk as part of the celebrations for International Women’s Day 2010.

Participants will meet at the riverside beer garden of The Green Dragon, Water Street, Chesterton. The starting time is between 11.00am – 12noon.

The walk will take you along by the river, crossing to Fen Ditton and back to the pub where you can treat yourself to a well earned drink or Sunday lunch.

The walk is approximately five miles long and takes about 1½ – 2 hours to complete. Please wear good walking boots as the path may be muddy in places.

Getting there: Chesterton is on the outskirts of North Cambridge and an easy cycle ride from in the city. Alternatively the Citi 2 bus, running every half hour from the city, stops round the corner from the pub, use the stop near Tesco’s Express.
