The far right and the fascists are on the ascendancy . Across the globe they seek to blame refugees for the failure of decades of neo-liberalism. But they also want to roll back the advances made by women and LGBT + people. Influencers and politicians from the right argue that these are a threat to masculine identity while  denying role they have played in creating crisis and uncertainty for us all.
