Abstract
Characterising atmospheres of extrasolar planets is a new and rapidly-growing area. An introductory overview of observations and models of exoplanet atmospheres is given. The emphasis will be on the dynamics and circulation of the atmospheres. Several current “hot topics” and crucial issues in the subject are also described.
