Abstract
The story starts with a concept for a very large space telescope to look for bio-signatures. I will explain how this idea led to a local company with 37 employees and 2 space telescopes for thermal IR earth observations with launches scheduled for early 2027. The story includes the reasons for commercialization, the differences between academia and the commercial world, the “new-space” revolution, the applications of the technology and the future plans for SuperSharp Space Systems Ltd.
