The results of recent activity will be presented. The main topics are related to the investigations of the following structures: – epitaxial quasi-zero dimensional structures (dots, dashes, rods, columns) – mid infrared quantum well based laser structures – nitrides for near infrared and UV applications, – nanocrystalline materials The achievements on the spectroscopy of two dimensional hole systems (Quantum Hall Skyrmions and charges excitons ) will also be shown.

This talk is part of the Semiconductor Physics Group Seminars series.
