We will present data on the acquisition of Italian by children with SLI , dyslexic children and simultaneous bilingual children. Two pieces of data will be discussed: production of direct object clitics and and comprehension of quantifiers. The aim is to show how one could differentiate these groups and to discuss in this light the notion of clinical markers for a language specific disorder.
